Chilly times in NYC PART 2: Mike Kelley at PS1

The next museum I went to was the Moma PS1 in Queens.  The whole museum was a retrospective of Mike Kelley, who committed suicide in 2012.  The breadth of his work is amazingly wide and varied which made for an incredibly overwhelming, evil fun-house type of atmosphere.  

There were pieces in the show that emitted constant shrieking that you could hear throughout the museum so after a few hours I had the physical desire to run far, far away from the PS1. Plus, the museum guards here are pretty mean.   Aside from that, it was cool to see an artist  that was embraced for working in a million different mediums.  Art school teachers love to tell you that you need to "stick to a body of work."  but...
